About MeHello!
My name is Nicole and I am an illustrator and naturalist. I previously studied Ecology & Evolutionary biology in undergrad, then went on to work as an animal keeper and field biologist. Now, I am a full-time freelance illustrator who is forever inspired by the nature around me in California and beyond. I am incredibly grateful to be in a career at the intersection of natural sciences, art, science education, and storytelling. I currently design goods for nature lovers through my shop Fossil Forager (est. 2020), and hope to continue to inspire compassion for wildlife and invertebrates through my art. When I'm not creating or running my small business, you can find me volunteering at the local wildlife center, tending to my extensive houseplant collection, learning about prehistoric life, exploring tide pools, unwinding with video games, watching animated films, and visiting museums, flea markets, and curiosity shops.
